An Arkham Rarity

From Stuart David Schiff's offering on the ebayeum:
When one is collecting a specific publishing house or the like, the way to make your collection important is to get something unique. While a copy of the Lovecraft book THE OUTSIDER is very nice, an inscription by the DJ artist Virgil Finlay makes the book unique. A copy of Clark Ashton Smith's OUT OF SPACE AND TIME is a rare book, but if it is inscribed by Smith to the DJ artist Hannes Bok, you have a unique item. Here I am offering a unique item, one of 2 or 3 proof DJs to the second Arkham House book, SOMEONE IN THE DARK. In my discussions with Derleth, he told me several times that there were never more than 2 or 3 copies of any proofs or galleys Arkham House did in its early years. This is your chance to buy something to put your collection that step above the others. The light greenish paper is in very good shape, some light toning to the edges, some nibbles to one corner (and a couple of closed tears ( see pictures)). It has three folds. The DJ artwork was by Frank Utpatel.

I have been a Lovecraft & Derluth fan for decades now... If you need any assistance finding any of their works online (or in PDF form), let me know and I (or my network of "friends") will glad to help. Namaste!
